Yes! We offer free, no-obligation estimates for all AC installations and replacements. For diagnostic service calls on existing systems, a trip charge may apply, which is credited back toward the cost of repair if you proceed with us.
Repairs
Several issues can cause warm air: a dirty or clogged air filter, low refrigerant (freon) levels, a faulty compressor, frozen evaporator coils, or a failed capacitor. We recommend changing your filter first. If that doesn't help, call us — most of these issues are diagnosed and repaired in a single visit.
Most standard repairs — such as capacitor replacements, refrigerant recharges, contactor replacements, or thermostat fixes — take 1–3 hours. More complex repairs involving compressor or coil replacements may take half a day or longer.
A good rule of thumb is the "5,000 rule": multiply the age of the system (in years) by the repair cost. If the result exceeds $5,000, replacement is likely the better investment. Systems older than 10–12 years or requiring frequent repairs are usually good candidates for replacement, especially in Miami's demanding climate.
Water leaks are common in South Florida due to high humidity. The most common causes are: a clogged condensate drain line, a dirty air filter restricting airflow, frozen evaporator coils, or a cracked drain pan. Turn off your system and call us — an untreated leak can cause mold and structural damage.
Yes. However, simply "topping off" refrigerant is not a permanent fix — it means your system has a refrigerant leak that must be found and repaired first. We locate the leak, fix it, and then recharge the system to manufacturer specifications using EPA-approved refrigerants (including R-410A and R-32).
Installation
A standard residential AC replacement (same location, same configuration) typically takes 4–8 hours. New installations that require ductwork, electrical upgrades, or larger systems may take 1–2 days. We'll give you a clear timeline during your free estimate.
AC sizing is based on a Manual J load calculation that considers your home's square footage, ceiling height, insulation, number of windows, sun exposure, and occupancy. In general, Miami homes need roughly 600–700 sq ft per ton of cooling capacity. Oversized or undersized units both cause problems — proper sizing is critical and we always calculate it correctly.
Yes. We pull all required building permits for HVAC installations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Permit fees are passed through at cost and itemized on your estimate. Working with unpermitted systems can void manufacturer warranties and create problems when selling your home.
A ductless mini-split is an HVAC system with an outdoor compressor unit and one or more indoor air handlers. They are ideal for: homes without ductwork, room additions, garages, offices, and situations where you want zone control. They are highly energy-efficient but may have a higher upfront cost than ducted systems.
Maintenance
Because Miami's AC systems run year-round, we recommend professional maintenance twice a year — typically in spring before the summer heat peak, and in fall. Regular maintenance extends equipment life, reduces energy bills, and helps catch problems before they become expensive repairs.
In South Florida, we recommend changing standard 1-inch filters every 30–60 days. If you have pets, allergies, or a dusty environment, change them monthly. Thicker media filters (4–5 inch) can last 6–12 months. A clogged filter is the #1 cause of AC problems and higher energy bills.
Our comprehensive tune-up includes: inspecting and cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, testing capacitors and contactors, inspecting electrical connections, clearing the condensate drain line, checking thermostat calibration, measuring airflow, and a full system performance report.
Yes! Our Annual Comfort Plan includes two tune-ups per year, priority scheduling, discounts on repairs, and extended labor warranties. Contact us for current pricing — maintenance plan members save an average of $300/year compared to non-members.
Pricing & Costs
Repair costs vary widely by issue. Common repairs range from $75–$200 for minor fixes (capacitor, contactor) to $500–$1,500+ for refrigerant leak repairs or major component replacements. We always provide a written estimate before starting any work.
A new central AC system in Miami typically costs between $4,000–$12,000 installed, depending on system size, efficiency rating (SEER2), brand, and whether ductwork modifications are needed. Mini-split systems range from $2,500–$8,000 per zone. We offer financing options to fit every budget.
Yes! We offer flexible financing options through approved third-party lenders, including 0% interest promotions for qualified customers. Financing is available for both new installations and major repairs. Ask us about current promotions when you request your free estimate.
Yes! The Inflation Reduction Act offers federal tax credits of up to 30% (max $600) for qualifying high-efficiency HVAC equipment. Florida Power & Light (FPL) and other utilities also offer rebates for high-SEER systems. We can help you identify and apply for available incentives.
Emergency Service
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency HVAC service 365 days a year — including weekends and holidays. In Miami's heat, a broken AC can be a health emergency, especially for seniors and young children. Call us any time at (786) 374-8320.
We aim to respond to emergency calls within 2–4 hours. During peak summer season, response times may vary, but we always dispatch the nearest available technician as quickly as possible. Maintenance plan members receive priority emergency response.

We handle rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VRF/VRV systems, chiller systems, and commercial refrigeration. We offer commercial maintenance contracts with flexible scheduling to minimize business disruption.
